The season's over, it's come to an end. We've had some good races, we've been with our friends.
It's time to go home now, put the car in the shop. Although it's now dormant, the work doesn't stop.
We'll pull out the motor, the tranny, the brakes. All the while thinking of changes to make.
The motors used up, the tires are shot. We'll collect up the good stuff and see what we've got.
We'll strip it down bare and give her new paint. You might think we're crazy, I tell you we ain't.
We'll replace the suspension, and the wheel studs. We're not a slack team, we're not just some duds.
We'll put in a new motor, wheel bearings and tranny. We'll care for our car like a loving Nanny.
We'll put her on the scales and see how she weighs. We'll work on her set up in the following days.
We work on the car, Gary ever persistent. From him I have learned it's a key to being consistent.
Why you might ask is all this work being done? We're shooting for the top, to be number one.
Is it worth it, you ask, worth all the sweat? Hell yeah I say, you know it, you bet!
Why do I do it, is there a means to to the end? I do it for my driver, my father-in-law, my friend.
All three are one man, all one in the same. One AWSOME car driver and Gary is his name.
When will this all start, when does it begin you say. Hell are you crazy!! We started today!!!
See You Next Season!!!!!!!! Go Fast & Turn Left The Chief |
