ADIGRAT, Sunday (ENA) - Four Ethiopians were reportedly killed at Ala in an arson attack as part of the atrocities being committed by the Eritrean government against Ethiopians residing in that country. Four of the nine victims of the fire sparked by Eritrean troops died with the rest after sustaining serious injuries, four youngsters who made it to Ethiopia after detention and severe beatings told reporters. Hayelom Araya Gebru, 20, who fled Adi Quala in the wee hours of a night told reporters at Adigrat that he had buried with the help of his friends the remains of the deceased Ethiopians at the St. George Church. The Ethiopian who were burnt to death in their sleep were daily labourers, he added. Ibrahim Mohammed, one of the displaced, on his part, said, members of the Eritrean army stripped him of his property and mentioned the death of two Ethiopians on their way home stabbed by Eritrean soldiers in an act of desperation following the defeat they suffered at the Zalambessa front. The Eritrean government had continued its atrocities against innocent Ethiopians, they said.
