. You most likely have gotten the ticket information from Disney in the save-the-date letters they sent out (let us know if you didn't). Do you have to use these tickets rather than other Disney tickets? No. It won't make any difference for us, so pick the best value for what you want to do. Below is a spreadsheet with ticket information. It compares the wedding guest ticket prices with other methods of purchasing your tickets. I've bolded the options that look the best to me; however, how you plan on using the tickets should determine which ones you buy. Note that most of the tickets only give you entrance to the four major parks (Magic Kingdom - the main park, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney-MGM Studios). A few of the ticket options include water parks and Pleasure Island too. The lengthy footnotes will tell you what tickets get you where. Also note, the wedding guest tickets and the Unlimited Magic passes are only good for the range of dates on the ticket (the wedding guest dates or the length of your hotel stay, respectively). With all other tickets, if you happen to not use one of the days on the pass, you can use it anytime in the future. If you plan on purchasing passes for lots of days or lots of people (say, over $500 worth) or if you plan on return visits to any Disney park, or if you shop often at the Disney Store, you will want to look into getting a Magic Kingdom Club card. (Note: some people may get these for free at their credit union, or some large employers will also offer them for free to their employees.) The card offers a 10% discount at the Disney Store, and about a 5% discount off of park tickets. It also offers some discounts on hotel reservations and some restaurants at Disney. The MKC card is $65 for a two-year membership, if you would like to order one, call 1-800-56 Disney. 1. Wedding Prices are only offered through the Disney "Save the Date" mailing
and must be purchased at least 30 days before arrival. The tickets are ONLY valid Nov. 21-30, 1999. Tickets do
include one visit to Pleasure Island for 2 & 3 day passes; unlimited admission to Pleasure Island for 4 &
5 day tickets. Moving from park to park on the same day ("Park Hopping") is allowed. 2. Day Passes can be purchased at Disney World at the hotel or at any of the parks. Passes may be used for a single park per day (no park hopping). Unused days never expire - there is no time limit for use (if you end up not using it, you can use it 3 years from now). 3. Park Hopper Passes may be purchased at most Disney Stores (the ones you see in some malls), or at Disney World at the hotel or at any of the parks. These passes allow park hopping. The 6 and 7 day passes above include Pleasure Island and the three water parks (Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and River Country). 4. Value Pass is for 4 days only. It does NOT allow park hopping, and only allows one day at each park: one day's admission to the Magic Kingdom, one day's admission to Epcot, one day's admission to Disney-MGM Studios, and one day's admission to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Unused days never expire. 5. Unlimited Magic Passes are only offered to resort guests and may only be purchased at the resort (i.e., the All Star Movies). These passes include all four major parks, plus Pleasure Island, the three water parks, Disney Quest, and Disney's Wide World of Sports. Guests may hop between parks on the same day. These passes are purchased according to how many nights you are spending at the hotel. If you are staying over 2 nights, you are limited to the 3 day ticket, for a 3 night stay you get 4 days, etc. Tickets are good only for the length of your hotel stay and may not be used on future trips. 6. Annual Passes can be purchased at your resort, at any park, or through most Disney Stores. Prices above are for the 4 major parks, unlimited admission for one year, park hopping allowed. There are, of course, other options for tickets out there. But these are the main options. If you'd like yet more details, visit Unofficial Walt Disney World Information Guide's WDW - Ticket FAQ. |
