The Right Honourable Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron in that part of Great Britain called Scotland Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia To all to whom this present writing shall come sends greeting Know Ye that for good causes for and in consideration of the composition to me paid and for the Annual Rent hereafter Reserved I have Given Granted and Confirmed and by these presents for me my Heirs and Afsigns Do Give Grant and Confirm unto Mr. Augustine Washington of the County of Westmoreland a certain Tract of waste and ungranted Land in Frederick County joining the Lines of Robert Worthington, Henry Bradshaw and Major Lawrence Washington, bounded also by a Survey thereof made by Mr. George Washington as followeth  Beginning at a White Oak Washingtons Corner and running thence with his Lines North One hundred and ten poles to a White Oak and Red oak on the East side of a Glade thence No 89 Et Two hundred and Eight poles to a Large Red Oak and small Hiccory Thence W 19 1/4 Et  Two hundred and sixty three poles to three Locusts in a Bottom  Thence Leaving his Lines and extending thence No 83 Et Eighteen Poles to a Double hiccory on a Limestone Rock Henry Bradshaws Corner  Thence with his Line So 70 Et  One hundred and twenty six Poles thence So 19 Wt  Three hundred and forty poles to a Corner of Major Lawrence Washingtons Land Thence with his Line West Two hundred and sity Poles to another corner of Washingtons and the said Lawrence Washingtons.  Three hundred and fourteen Poles to the Beginning Containing Five hundred Acres Together with all Rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging Royal Mines Excepted and a full third part of all Lead, Copper, Tinn, Coals and Iron Ore that shall be found thereon  To have and to hold the said Five hundred Acres of Land Together with all Rights Profits and benefits to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining Except before Excepted To him the said Augustine Washington his heirs and Afsigns for Ever He the said Augustine Washington his heirs or Afsigns therefore Yielding and Paying to me my Heirs or afsigns or to my certain Attorney or Attorneys Agent or Agents or to the certain Attorney or Attorneys of my heirs or afsigns Proprietors of the said Northern Nect Yearly and every Year on the First day of St. Michael the Arch Angel the Rent of One shilling Sterling money for every Fifty Acres of Land hereby granted and so proportinably for a greater or Lefser Quantity.  Provided that if the said Augustine Washington his heirs or Afsigns shall not pay the before Reserved Annual Rent so that the same or any part thereof shall be behind and upaind by the spadce of Two whole years after the same shall become due if Lawfully Demanded that then it shall and may be Lawfull for me my Heirs or Afsigns Proprietors as aforesaid my or their certain Attorney or Attorneys Agent or Agents unto the Above Granted Premifses and Hold so as if this Grant had never Pafsed.  Given at my office in the County of Fairfax within my said Proprietary under my hand and Seal Dated this Seventeenth .... day of October in the Twenty fourth Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith  One thousand seven hundred and fifty.
