esquire governor of the commonwealth of Virginia: to all to whom
these presents shall come greeting: Know Ye, That by virtue of a
land office Treasury warrant, number three thousand one hundred and
seventy six, ifsued the eighth of June, eighteen hundred and one there
is granted by the said commonwealth unto Allen Bradshaw, a certain tract
or parcel of land, containing four hundred and fifty acres by survey
bearing date the thirtieth of December eighteen hundred and three, lying
and being in the county of Franklin on the south side of Stanton river,
and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at Charles Anderson's
corner on the river, thence with his lines, north twenty-five degrees
west seventy poles to his corner white oak, thence along Woodcock's
line, south thirty four degrees west ninety two poles to pointers in
Martin's line and with the same south six degrees east fourteen poles to
his corner white oak, south fifty-two degrees west one hundred and two
poles to a white oak, north seventy three degrees west one hundred and
seventy four poles to his corner chesnut-oak, south eighty degrees west
one hundred and seventy six poles to a hickory at a spring south twenty
degrees west sixteen poles to a white oak south thirty two poles to a
gum, south thirty degrees east forty six poles to a hickory, south fifty
seven degrees east one hundred and ninety six poles to pointers in
Taylors line north thirty degrees east twenty poles to his corner, south
fifty six degrees east one hundred and sixty-four poles to his corner
hickory in Payne's line and with the same, north thirty eight degrees
east one hundred and eighteen poles to a white oak north twenty degrees
west seventy six poles to a red oak north twenty degrees west seventy
six poles to a red oak north twenty degrees east sixty four poles to
John Payne's corner white oak and with his line North fifty degrees east
one hundred poles to his corner hickory on the river and thence up the
same as it meanders to the beginning, with its appurtenances, To hand
and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to
the said Allen Bradshaw and his heirs forever. In Witnefs whereof
the said John Page esquire governor of the commonwealth of Virginia hat
hereunto set his hand and caused the lefser seal of the said
commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the ninth day of August in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five and of the
commonwealth the thirtieth. |
