WHEN I NEED GOD'S FORGIVENESS

When we confess our sins to God we are forgiven. This is what God promises even thought we have not earned, deserved, or merited this gracious cleansing.

Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is Thou who hast kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thy back. Isaiah 38:17 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:10-12 If Thou, Lord, shouldst mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with Thee, That Thou mayest be feared. Psalm 130:3,4 I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. Isaiah 43:25 I acknowledged my sin to Thee, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord; And Thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Selah. Psalm 32:5 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
