The National Music Foundation

Mission Of Statement:

The National Music Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to American Music and the people who bring it to us. Our mission is twofold:
  1. To educate the public about American music in order to preserve our nation's musical heritage;
  2. To provide for the retirement of professionals from the field of music, radio and recording, with provisions made for those who can't afford to retire on their own.
We will fulfill this mission through The National Music Center.

The National Music Center's educational facilities will include an interactive museum, a performance center, a library and archive and a radio broadcast facility. All forms, styles and genres of American music will be represented, as will radio and the recording industry. Through scholarships, grants and mentor programs, the Center will encourage students to pursue studies of American music at all educational levels.

The Center will include a residence where professionals from music, radio and recording can retire among their peers.

We believe that American music, in it's endless variety, is an important element in the national heritage of every citizen.
