Me and My Airplane

Across a sky of marbled blue,

past the rainbow of many a hue,

above the smog in air that's clean,

I guide my shining, winged machine.

I soar across the mountain crest

and have no fear of an arrest

even though my speeds are high,

for in this vast expanse of sky

there's nothing here to slow me down

so far above the crowded ground.

Here I have freedom that few can attain

and sometimes I wish that I could remain

afloat in the sky; my private domain;

just me ....................... and my airplane!
