Update on Wednesday, February 10, 1999
I created a message board during December 1999 as a discussion forum for the 661/1 residents. I am unambiguously sure that a new reader will be confused and frankly uninterested in a club that doesn't offer in it's name celebrity lingerie or bungee-jumping from atop the Washington Monument. The message board has an introduction and a great piece by Bala about the 661 atmosphere. Be sure to stroll around the Forum and have a breath of 'friendly' air.
Balamurli. T
His second name is romance. He is very shy, but
romantic and is every girl's Mills & Boon man. He still has not used
his poetic skills on any girl, who would fall like nine-pins to his charms
& innocence. Founder of the 661/1 club, he is my best friend and the
most comfortable person to be around with. Poetic as he is, just visit
his home page
for a dose of his writing skills - HE CHARMS.
Chakravarthy. VSR
When he knocked my door, midnight on July 7th,
1994 I did not realize I was opening the doors to a great friendship. There's
absolutely no-one else like him - the man is simpleness itself and with
his patience, he can move a mountain. His midnight mania of polishing himself
could have put Milan models to shame, and you can wait with bated breath
for the fresh whiff of perfume, powder & cream at the stroke of midnight.
Rightfully he should have been the model for Nivea cream & Ponds. Sunitas
& Sonicas had a massive crush, just for his beguiling smile, though
he never made the MOVE. With Qualcomm now, he drives around in San Diego
in his Toyota Camry - but must be for his customary Goldflake & Chchai.
Mehul Sanghavi
Think perfection. Think orderliness. Think professionalism.
Think it all. Think Mehul. In his short stay with me at 661/1 & of
course day-in & day-out at office, I saw it all. In all the mess that
the Lucent division of Tata Telecom was in, I have seen him steadfast managing
with ease the entire division on his little finger. As much as JFK, OJ
Simpson are mysteries, even Hercule Poirot could not unravel his alleged
Doc-cell liaison. However, he is all settled to tie the knot with Alpa
in December 98. Other than Alpa, Reliance Telecom is thrilled to have him.

He twisted & twirled IDX around his finger,
that probably OKI referred to him on all IDX key-points. He was the walking
reference manual… no questions! He can go to any lengths to please you,
and though I tried all terrible pranks to make him angry, never got see
an angry face. Tata Telecom was very unfortunate to lose such a guy, but
when one loses another gains. Qualcomm is all set to roll out the red-carpet
for Srini. 661/1 Club was honored to host him.
Yogesh Malik
Malik Saab is an enigma. The single-minded determination
in which he is driving his career is perhaps just a hint to his character.
From Tata Telecom to Ericsson to Teleservices, his climb on the corporate
ladder has been steep. The only common item between us two is the 661/1
club and the unusual friendship we share - we stay in touch more often
than each of us do with our closest friends.
