Fencing Master
David Glaeser, our club fencing master, received his master's certification from the West German government in 1977. He has been a coach for the Norwegian Naval Academy and the Norwegian and German National Fencing Teams. David teaches the fencing classes for the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He gives lessons in foil, epee, and sabre, as well as in historical weapons, such as hand-and-a-half sword and rapier-and-dagger. He also teaches theatrical fencing, and has choreographed fencing scenes for several plays in Madison. David's lessons are $19 for about 20 to 30 minutes of instruction. He gives individual lessons both at Durendal during club hours and also in his home outside of club time at 442 S. Midvale Blvd. in Madison. He also offers intermediate, and advanced classes during club time, usually on Thursday evenings. Please call for scheduling.

Instructors
Jessie Glaeser is an instructor with Durendal Fencing Club, the University of Wisconsin Department of Kinesiology fencing classes, and formerly taught the University of Wisconsin Union's fencing mini-courses. Jessie gives lessons at the club on Tuesdays (8-10 PM), and Thursdays (7-10 PM). Her lessons are $15. Jessie is currently competing in epee, but has competed in both foil and sabre in previous seasons.
