QUALIFICATION:

* 3 Years experience in C++, C, ASP, Perl, SQL, Visual Basic, Windows 
  Programming (Motif, Xlib, Win32[2 years], MFC[1 year]), 
  and Graphics programming API (OpenGL, IRIX Performer).  
  Experience with Java.
* Co-author in 8 conference proceeding, and 1 Book Chapter.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

1) Lead Software engineer for virtual reality and scientific 
   visualization applications
   (from June 97 to present) Virtual Reality Lab, Naval Research Lab, 
   Washington, DC.
* Lead a team of two to three members on designing and developing a 
  general Virtual Reality C++ API based on IRIX's Performer to be used 
  on various VR environments, such as the CAVE, HMD, and Workbench.  
  The library consists of low level serial and socket communication 
  drivers for various devices, and high level rendering and interaction 
  routines.
* Additional responsibilities include 
  -- Implementing and designing an interactive visualization interfaces,   
     conducting research on visualization techniques, and human interaction 
     issues on Scientific Visualization.  
  -- Designed and implemented an AVS Virtual Reality application using C++
     IRIX's Performer

2) Computer consulting for web design, and database application.
   (from Jan 96 to Dec 98) C & E Consulting, Independence KS.
* Cooperated with one to two members on a complete cycle of application   
  development (including design, implementation, documentation, and 
  testing) . Used Visual Basic, SQL Sever, Access, Win32, and Web database 
  system for the development.
* Example projects included: 
  - C++ applications computer learning system and simulation.
  - Visual Basic database applications.
  - SQL database enterprise application for client demographic, and billing
    information.
  - Web design and implementation for a multimedia database system on a
    three-tiers architecture.

3) Web page developer and database manager for chemistry department
   (from July 96 to June 97) Department of Chemistry, 
   The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
* Responsible for heterogeneous network maintenance, relational database   
  design, web database access implementation.
* Designed a relational database for thermodynamic data and chemical   
  structures for chemical compounds.

4) Software engineer for a volume rendering software 
   (from Dec 94 to Dec 95) Mechanical Engineering Department, 
   The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH
* Cooperated with four other members to design and implement an add-on   
  program for a CAD program (Pro-engineer).
* Responsible for implementing and designing: user interface, volume   
  rendering algorithm (contextual shading), model analysis (heat capacity 
  analysis, thickness analysis of molding process), and software testing.
