Tutorial:

The Basics:

From the task bar at the bottom of your Windows screen, click on Start then Programs then Inspiration 6 out to Inspiration 6 (next to box with stars).  Inspiration opens with Main Idea in center.  You can then type in your main topic and create symbol or rapid fire.  We will play first with rapid fire.  Once you have your ideas in you can arrange them.  To see outline, click outline from menu bar.  You can then toggle back to diagram view.  To toggle back and forth with the toolbar you can click F8.

Opening Created Files and using Hyperlinks:  Insert the disk provided.   Click on File then Open.  Click on the down arrow next to “Look in”.  Select 3 ˝ inch floppy.  Select the file “writing.ins”.  Open the file.  This file has hyperlinks to sites. It was created using the Bubble Template.  Click the links to see how they work.  Notice that Inspiration minimizes to the task bar. To go back and check another link, just click on Inspiration in the task bar.  You can use this to direct students to links on the Internet and to organize their research.

Using Templates:  To open templates go to File and then templates.  Browse several.  Once you find one you can use you can then delete instructions on side and adapt.
