Their names say it all, their creations are among the best in all areas of Pop Music, from its earliest manifestations in the first decades of the 20th Century all the way through the 3rd Millenium!

Below, we are just mentioning some of the Great Artists-Songwriters that are represented by
GALAXIA  MUSICAL.


JOHN FOGERTY

JOHN FOGERTY's latest album, "REVIVAL", was just released at the end of 2007 on Concord Records.

His style shines in every track; with the classic sound that only he can create:  Rocking, Raw, Easy-going and Edgy!

The songs are delivered in his unique style; from
"DON'T YOU WISH IT WAS TRUE" (which in video form is all over, including of course, the Country Music Channel), through "GUNSLINGER", "CREEDENCE SONG" (wink!) and the final track "LONGSHOT".

Great music to have a great time!

 

THE EAGLES

Their latest studio album was released in 1979 (wow!)

And now, the end of 2007, they're back!  Lead by Don Henley and Glenn Frey, and also aided by the musical skills of Steuart Smith, THE EAGLES have just released their new album "LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN", full of solid music.

You won't get enough of their sound, as fresh and vibrant as always.  But don't believe us;  you gotta hear it to know why the album zoomed to the top of the charts (all the way to Número Uno, baby!)

FOO FIGHTERS

 

THE FOO FIGHTERS also have a great new album: "ECHOES, SILENCE, PATIENCE AND GRACE'.

The group, which took its name from the UFO's that many pilots saw during World War II, is in top form.  Everybody plays great, including of course, Nate Mendel and his incredible riffs on the bass.

And as always, we suggest that you not only read this, grab your album copy and levitate galore!

La noticia se extendió como pólvora: FOREIGNER, el grupazo de rock creador de inigualables éxitos, se presentaba en el Teatro Metropólitan como parte de su gira para celebrar sus más de 25 años de haberse integrado.

La taquilla de inmediato fue asediada, ante la nueva oportunidad de disfrutar a la banda comandada por Mick Jones.

Basta nombrar a "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice ", "Hot Blooded", "Urgent", "Waiting For A Girl Like You " "I Don't Want to Live Without You" y... "I Want To Know What Love Is".

Y aunque los melómanos del rock ya se han ido acostumbrando a presenciar eventos de similar magnitud, el poder ver y oír en persona a FOREIGNER, roqueando como sólo ellos saben hacerlo, amerita celebrarlo. En GALAXIA MUSICAL representamos las composiciones de Mick Jones y eso, nos enorgullece en grande.

Welcome to Our Galaxy!

We are proud to welcome CARLOS SANTANA, the pied piper of Latin Rock!

Santana, the great rocker and master guitarrist who has given us incredible music, full of contagious beats is now represented exclusively by GALAXIA MUSICAL for the Mexican territory.

Santana's very personal style has inspired countless rockers since his very first albums "Santana", "Abraxas" and "Santana III", all the way to "Supernatural", Shaman and "All That I Am".

Words are unnecessary. A legendary group from a legendary time.

We are proud to represent their great repertoire. All their songs are unique. Nothing has to be written about them, they speak for themselves.

Those of us, who had the luck of attending their concert in México, will always remember it.

 

NEIL YOUNG...
A hero in our time!

NEIL YOUNG, the unique poet songwriter of protest hyms given us "CINNAMON GIRL", "ONLY LOVE CAN BREAK YOUR HEART", "HEART OF GOLD" and "MY MY, HEY HEY (OUT OF THE BLUE)" is also represented exclusively by GALAXIA MUSICAL for the Mexican territory.

Neil's very personal style has been a defining stepstone in contemporary music. From his seminal work with BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, through CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG and the saga with his hard-core rocking friends of CRAZY HORSE, Neil's ode has always been at the cutting-edge.

Now, "LET'S ROLL", a tribute inspired by the doomed United Airlines' Flight 93, and in particular by passenger Todd Beamer, who went into the plane cockpit telling his fellow travellers: "Let's Roll!", is the latest composition by Neil moving people's hearts and minds.

 

DAVID BOWIE

Space rock's legend David Bowie with back-to-back albums "EARTHLING", "REALITY" and multiple appearances of his songs in a lotsa recent films.

David, who has created many rock classics, such as "LET'S DANCE", "CHINA GIRL" "I'M AFRAID OF AMERICANS"and "ZIGGY STARDUST", either alone or with the collaboration of other musical geniuses, like Brian Eno and Iggy Pop, is conquering new heights.

His albums are full of the unusual antics that have made the Wonder Boy a culture icon.

And his songs have been included in several blockbuster films of recent times, such as "THE WEDDING SINGER", "MEMENTO", "STIGMATA" and the hit of the beautiful Nicole Kidman (*), "MOULIN ROUGE"!

In addition, his record companies have just re-issued practically everything that David has recorded.

That's a lotta grooves to make a lotta fans happy!

 


NICOLE KIDMAN's "MOULIN ROUGE"

(*) Well... talking about beautiful Nicole, her film "MOULIN ROUGE" did quite well at the box office. And besides Nicole's beauty, the music is something to talk about!

For instance, one of the musical gems in the soundtrack is David Bowie's "HEROES".

Another great, great composition that is an integral part of Nicole's film is "DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND", which was written by Leo Robin and Jule Styne.

You'd like to know that this song did also wonders in a different era for Carol Channing in the musical "GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES". Later on, it became the theme of the Hollywood legend: Marilyn Monroe, when M.M. did the film version, in the early 50's!

 

Psst... in reality, many of the songs that we represent have recently been in tons of films (we just happen to love Nicole).

But what about...?

"WALK THE LINE", the Oscar winning biopic of JOHNNY CASH, with Joaquin Phoenix portraying "The Man in Black and Reese Whiterspoon in her lovable down-to-earth June Carter Cash?

Or the "SPY KIDS" saga directed by ROBERT RODRIGUEZ, including the 3-D version, plus his other great films "SIN CITY" and "SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL"?

 


TV & FILMS GALORE!

Because our songs continue being played all over!

In Mexican TV, for example, check out "Bailando por un Sueño" y "Cantando por un Sueño", and you'll hear and see "Yo no soy Rebelde", "El Rock de la Cárcel", "Júrame" and "La Hiedra Venenosa"; plus "Stand By Me" in "Código Postal", among many others.

And on Mexican films, you have already cheered to "Hazme Una Señal" in "Una Película de Huevos", "Pomp and Circumstance" in "Un Mundo Maravilloso", "American Woman" in "American Visa", and "Falso Amor" en "Cansada de Besar Sapos".

Yeah... Our songs continue being played all over!

 


SELENA, "DREAMING OF YOU"


Of all the many albums that the unforgettable SELENA recorded, the only one that topped the charts was the post-humous "DREAMING OF YOU".

This album, named after the great TOM SNOW composition, ruled the U.S. rankings in the mid 90's, staying there for an incredible 44 weeks!, all of which points to the incredible devotion of not only her fans, but also of the many other millions throughout the world whose hearts Selena touched.

And although SELENA has left us, her legend continues, as we will always dream of her with sadness and very poignant memories...

Selena, we're dreaming of you.....

 

LENNY and "AMERICAN WOMAN"!

Taking the classic 1970 hit "AMERICAN WOMAN", Lenny stormed the charts once more with a version full of solid rhythm and the funkiest funk!

Originally sung and penned by Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Jim Kale and Gary Peterson, of the legendary group The Guess Who, "AMERICAN WOMAN" is the type of timeless song that defines what great rock is all about: GRITTY VOCALS, GUITAR DISTORTION and THROBBING SOUNDS that make you wanna rock!

 

 

 

J. Lo! "CARIÑO"


JENNIFER LOPEZ certainly knows where it's at!

Actress, singer, babe, you name it, JENNY-JENNY has that certain touch that drives us crazy.

With "CARIÑO", that cool ditty based on the Mongo Santamaria and Neal Creque song, J. Lo delivers just what the doctor ordered, and since words are not enough sometimes, just take one listen, and you'll know what we mean. You're also welcome to take one glimpse (as if you hadn't already!) > > >

Surely, "CARIÑO" is adding to the J. Lo legend, and like we said...
