Here is my *review*
::::sigh::::I didn't think I could love those guys anymore than I already did, but I do! Where do I begin? Well, no close encounters to report, but plenty of cool stuff. Taylor informed us that it was great to be in the hometown of the Man from Milwaukee--the crowd went wild!
Isaac: leather pants, black t-shirt...hair down for about 3 songs. More than Anything was just beautiful. He makes it so intimate, you swear he's singing it right to *you*. And he had his eyes closed through most of the song. Big jump off the drum platform--looking good Ike! Zac: gray shirt, then changed into a red shirt with white stripes around the sleeves. I don't remember the pants, but I'm sure he had some on. The crowd shrieked every time he was on the big screens. He gave away drum sticks and a cymbal (spelling?). He doesn't throw them into the crowd, he gently and graciously places them in the hands of someone lucky. He got down off the stage and interacted with the front row. Cool! Taylor: ok, I saved the best for last...flumping uncontrollably...ok, I think I can go on. Brown tight pants, he started with a dark (navy?) loose t-shirt. I thought to myself, "ok, I can live with that". But he is never one to disappoint and was nice enough to change into a nice tight gray one. Good Lord, his biceps!!:::picking myself up off the floor:::he went down in the front of the crowd too!! Once, he was leaning over to shake someone's hand and lost his balance and sort of jumped down. The girls swarmed in and he did the same gesture and facial expression as he did on Live from the 10 Spot at the end. The girls moved in like sharks in a feeding frenzy and he was trying to get them to back up before anyone got hurt. At one point, he bent over to tie his shoe/boot. Aww... Why, oh WHY??, is he only 15 years old? He is just stunning, what more can I say?
The show: They didn't use the Super Soakers much. They were dumping water bottles on the people right in front and then tossing the bottles into the crowd. Cheeseheads!!! First I better explain what a cheesehead is for all of you who don't know. It is a piece of foam that looks like a big wedge of cheese that is worn like a hat. Hey, they are the pride of Wisconsin--goofy as all get out!! Before the show started, someone gave a security guard 3 of them to give to ITZ and after the acoustic set, they came back on the stage wearing them. I cannot explain the cheesehead phenomenon, but it's something we are *very* proud of. So to see ITZ with cheeseheads adorning those lovely heads, well it was like a religious experience for me! But here is the best part--they gave those cheeseheads to 3 very lucky audience members. And after the show, my daughter saw a girl holding one of them. My daughter just had to go up and say hi to her. And that girl, God bless her, ripped off a chunk of that cheesehead and gave it to my daughter. She told her it was from Isaac. This wonderful gesture brings tears to my eyes. I'm almost sure that Isaac looked at me. There were empty seats surrounding my daughter and I, so we kind of stood out. A mother-daughter mmmbopping machine. And for about 5 seconds, he looked at where we were standing. Of course, he might have been thinking what a lunatic I was, but who cares as long as he looked! Of course, they sounded amazing!! Taylor messed up some lines, which is just such a Taylor thing to do--LOL! They didn't sing Money (that's what I want) this time. But they did sing all the other covers. Walker was filming Zac almost throughout the whole show. He never filmed Ike or Taylor. My guess is that they needed some more footage of him.(?) I am so happy that I was lucky enough to get to go to 2 concerts this summer. They just rock!!! I can't wait until the video is available!! What a way to relive all the wonderful memories! Isaac, Taylor and Zac will probably never read this, but I have to say that I would like to thank them so much for sharing their incredible talent with us. We are so lucky!
