Chapter three. On the mission.
"Ike, are you still awake?" No answer. Tay whispers a bit louder: "Ike, are you asleep?" Some moaning comes from Ike's bed. "Huh? What? Tay… what is it, man?" Ike turns over on his other side. "I can't sleep that well, I guess… Probably the nerves are playing games with me." "Tay, you better try to get some sleep before midnight. You won't be getting any after that." "I know, but it is hard to fall asleep when you know you're going to look for clues in order to find your girl." "Yeah, I can imagine that. But still… you gotta try. Think of something nice." "Well, okay, but I warned ya. Good night then." "Yeah, good night, don't let the bad bugs bite." "Dogs… it's dogs, not bugs." "Whatever, just go to sleep."

Tay wakes up from the beeping of their alarm clock. In a second he jumps out of his bed. "Ike, Ike, wake up man! We're going on a hunt." Tay can't detect any movement, so he grabs his brother and shakes him roughly. "Come on, Ike, get up. We got some work to do." "Oh, jeez man. Please, be gentle with me… Oh, my head." "What's wrong with your head besides from being sleepy and still attached to your body." "My head hurts very bad, it's got to be the lack of sleep." "That's tough luck then, drag yourself out of bed, or I'll do it." "Yeah yeah, just a second. Let me wake up first… man." Isaac rolls himself over, and swishes one leg out of the bed. "It's cold! Oh man!" "Don't be such a wimp! Zac is probably waiting for us in the hallway already. Come on, hurry up." "Taylor, did anybody tell you you're very hard on human beings?"

Both brothers are dressed in fifteen minutes. Exactly fifteen minutes after midnight Taylor opens their door and steps onto the hallway. "Guys, what on earth took you so long? I'm waiting here for about ten minutes!" "It was the big guy, he couldn't get out of his bed." Taylor points at Isaac, who is still holding his head. "Yeah well, I can't help it that my head hurts, now can I." Zac sees the look on Isaac's face. "Are we a bit grumpy?" Zac shuts his mouth very quickly when he notices Isaac's eyes flicker. "Ike, do you have dad's car keys?" "Yeah, in my pocket." "Okay, let's go then." "Here they go, three brothers on the mission", Zac says with a dark voice, pretending he's the voice over in a movie. Isaac rolls his eyes. "Great. Are you going to report every step we make?" "Man, are you in a bad mood or what. I feel sorry for Tay, he had to make you move out of your bed." "Guys, stop that stupid arguing right now, or I will go back to bed at once!" Isaac and Zac are startled by Taylor's mad voice. Normally Taylor doesn't get angry very fast, but when he is, you better hide. So both know that Taylor is dead serious, and they feel a bit ashamed of their behavior. "Tay, sorry man, we didn't want to upset you." "Yeah yeah, now get the car keys and get moving.

Within five minutes Isaac is behind the wheel, Taylor sits next to him and Zac has taken his place in the back. "That lady was looking very strange when she saw us leave, I hope she won't tell mom and dad." The concerned look on Taylor's face doesn't stay unnoticed to Zac and Isaac. "Naaah, she probably won't tell them. My guess is that they won't wake mom and dad up at this hour. Just relax, everything will be okay." Isaac pets Taylor on his shoulder. "Yeah, you're right. I'm worrying too much." "Should I take a left turn or a right turn here? I don't remember exactly." "Uhm, I believe it's right, the theater is a few blocks further." "Yep, there it is. I hope somebody is still in the theater, else we've come here for nothing." "We'll see. Let's go check things out." The guys get out of the car and make sure it is locked. Zac knocks on the door. They wait for a few seconds, but there's no answer. Zac knocks again, a bit louder this time. There's still no sound. "Man, nobody's here. We can as well turn around, we'll get back at the hotel without any results. Darn!" Taylor doesn't sound too happy. "Oh no we won't. Ike, give me your bobby pin again." Isaac takes the bobby pin out of his hair and looks surprisingly at Zac. "Don't worry, fellas, we'll be inside in a flash. Let Sherlock do the job." Zac sticks the bobby pin in the lock and starts moving it around. Thirty seconds later the lock is unlocked. "Zac, how do you do that? Where did you learn that?" "Yeah, you know, you got it, or you don't. Well, I got it. I watched many detectives on TV, and I saw how they open locks this way." "Zac, you watch too many movies, but this time I'm glad you do." Isaac gives Zac a friendly punch. "Good job, man!" Zac opens the door, and all three get inside.
