  The winds howl fiercely
  by my window tonight
and the rain beats on and on,
  drop after steady drop,
  a triumphant sound of drums

yet there's no fear in my being
of things that I might lose
and I feel no need to chase
away this storm or brawny blues

because I know who loves me
and I have no need for 'naught'
and I know that what is - IS!
and what is not - IS NOT!

  So it's all right tonight
  my heart rests peacefully,
  contentment doesn't languish
but finds my soul well fed,
  home-comforted , bread-warm
  in this GOD-IS-AWESOME storm!

And all my rooms are filled
  there's no stalwart vacancy
nor pain where tears once fell
because I find that in this house
all I’ll ever need  is the One
who made the rain. . .
