LAVENDER BLEU

Upon the horizon of ethereal dreams
set mountains of misty and midnight bleu,
crowned in their glory with white alabaster,
softly shaded with palest of lavender hues,

Endlessly reaching to depths in low valleys
where upon fertile fields wild violets bloom,
speckled with thousands on thousands of buds
of sweet clover of purple dancing under the moon.

Lavender bleu, the most peaceful of colors
No need for a rainbow that glistens with dew,
with royalty blended to shades of perfection
of midnight and purple and lavender bleu.
