Joseph Adelmar ("Aldemore Joseph") Sorell

Aldemore Joseph ("A.J.") Sorell was born on March 7, 1894, in Shirley Township, Cloud County, Kansas. He was baptised as Joseph Adelmar Sorell, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (the baptism was recorded in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas.)

A.J. married his wife, Anna M. Bisnette, on May 2, 1922 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Concordia, Kansas. They had three daughters; the second lived only two days.

A.J. was a farmer, and did much of this with his father. He and his family lived with his mother and father until they died in 1935 and 1938, respectively.

A.J. died in the Mount Joseph Nursing Home in Concordia on March 13, 1978. He was buried in Miltonvale (Kansas) Cemetery alongside Anna, who died in 1966.
