Alfred Napolean ("John") Sorrell was born in 1892, in Shirley Township, Cloud County, Kansas. He was baptised on June 2, 1892 as Alfred Napolean Sorrell, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (the baptism was recorded in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas.) It is not known when he married his wife, Elaine. They had two children.
John spent some time in the U.S. Navy, and was NOT the professional hockey player with the Detroit (and then the New York) Americans. He is thought to have lived in Orange, Essex County, New Jersey.
John died in 1965.
