I saw him....just for an instant, but it was enough to send my heart into
turmoil. And for a moment, I almost lost myself. My knees felt week,
and I had to force myself to breath. All of the old feelings came back.
He was alive! And it took all my strength to restrain my elation.....But
alas, I am getting ahead of myself. I should chronical what has happened
and perhaps better organize my thoughts and sort out my feelings.

On our way to the Blade Museam, we met Charlie, and he reconized us.
What a welcome relief that was! He asked us if we had seen his horse. I
wonder if his horse has fallen to the time god? Charlie said that there
was a big bug flying around Cold Comfort. With this, we went back to
Cold Comfort, for I had feared that someone was stealing the other Spell
Jamming ship. It turned out that it was just the one stuck in the lava
flow. There, Charlie said that Chico was killed because his wife rolled
over on him in the night and that Big Bertha was no longer in Cold
Comfort. I have to honestly say that I felt no love lost with that one
gone. I know that he did help the Blades, but after he murdered Cash,
any feelings of friendship with Chico had died with Cash. After how
close I had started to feel to Cash....I could compare it to the start of
the feelings I had for Bartholomew. Not love, but a stronge kinship, one
of the few people I have called friend. If Cash had wished something of
me I would have had no second thoughts in attempting to fullfill that
wish. I was so angry at Chico, that I felt a murderous rage boil within
my heart. My only lamenant was that I had not acted on that rage. So,
when Charlie had told me of Chicos death, I did not concern myself to
much with it. But I did ask about Rodchestor, and he said that he had
seen him! But he left becuase we were not there. My quetion is, is it
really Rodchestor? Or is it a past Rodchestor? I had no desire to go
into Cold Comfort to find out and perhaps to be teleported backward or
forward in time.

So.....On our way BACK to the museam, I noticed that the areas around
Cold Comfort were being affected by the time god. When we got the
museam, it said that it was closed for repairs. What kind of repairs
would they need to mend, I wondered. We went, instead, to the dripping
dagger and went up on the roof to Bartholomews garden. Up there, Demitry
saw the colwed figure and it approched us. He said he thought that no
one came up here. His confusion perplexed me. I wanted to ask more, as
to why, but the colwed figure then expressed his disappointment at our
lack of progress in finding the rest of the Blades. And said that he
thought I was smarter than that, that he "remembered me better than
that". And for an instant, a thousand questions about the cowled figures
identity popped into my head. Who was he? Was he Bartholomew? Was he
another former Blade? Or is it someone else that was pulling my strings?
I wanted to tell him about the last time that I left Rodchester had
disappered. He asked about my follow ups with the clues I had recieved
from him. It was at that moment when my pocket started burning. I
opened my pocket to see the letter I had recieved from Brother
Bartholomew, it had a check mark by Blade, and additional clues. There
was the one where Lute was last seen at Stonehouse keep, where
Bartholomew had gone to search. But the new ones were that Woody was
last seen building a temple; Eclipse was last seen at Evermeet; and that
trees that smile aren't always trees. With that the colwed figure left.

Before anyone could go anywhere, I stated that I was removing Demetry
from second in command and made him an advisor and High Mage of the the
group. His new privilgies would be that he got any new spells that the
group happend along and that he would let the others make a copy. I then
stated the laws that will govern the Blades.

1. The leader of the Blades (from here forth will be referred to as the
leader) has the right to call a vote among the Blades.

2. The leader will abstain from votes unless the vote is even.

3. All Blades have the right to vote, except those Blades who have been
Blades for less than three months.

4. The leader has the right to grant any new Blade voting rights.

5. In extrenuating circumstances, the Blades have the right to revoke
another Blade members membership by a two-thirds majority vote in favor
of the revoke.

6. Only the leader can call the vote stated in Law 5.

7. Only the leader has the right to choose a second in command (referred
to from now on as the second).

8. In the unfortunate event that the leader is unable to lead, the second
will assume command until the leader is able to resume leadership.

9. In the event that the leader dies and can not be resurrected, or is
missing, the second will assume leadership.

10. Only the leader can appoint a advisor.

11. In the event that both the leader and the second can not lead. The
advisor will assume command until the leader or second can resume
leadership.

12. If there is more than one advisor, the leadership will be decided
upon by a vote from the remaining Blades of the present advisors to
assume command.

13. If both the leader and the second die and can not be resurrected, or
have become missing, follow Laws 11 and 12.

14. If the Blades, as a group, decides the leader is unfit to lead, a
vote will be called by only the second. If the vote is a two-thirds
majority in favor that the leader should step down, the leader will step
down, still retaining Blade status. The second will assume leadership
and choose a new second.

I had been contemplating these Laws for some time now. They are
desparately needed by all within the Blades to let them know where they
stand. To let them know that there is a choice and if they are unhappy
with a situation or the leadership, they can change it without the need
for surreptitious behavior. Law 14 could be my undoing, but it is needed
for those times when the majority of the Blades are unhappy with there
leader. Leaders can not be effective if there followers no longer
believe in them. It is one of the reasons why I removed Demitry from
second in command. Most of the group has felt that he betryed us by
going to the gaurds. He will serve the Blades better as an advisor. He
seems to panic under pressure.

As I finished reading these laws, we heard a gruff voice say, "Those laws
are well and good, missy...But who is going to enforce them?"

We all turned to see a dwarf in blue armor. My jaw dropped as I
reconized the dwarf. "Vox!" I gapped.

"What are you going to do when the original Blades come back?" he
rumbled. "Make them follow YOUR laws."

My mind gropped. To be honest, I had not thought of old Blades
returning. Perhaps that is my folly. I do not believe that they are
alive. "Well, I would expect them to. They are needed," was my
response.

The dwarf went on to accuse us of not trying hard enough to find the
missing Blades. And we retorted that we had begun searching, and found
out that Blade was dead. He wanted to know of our tale and we told him.
He said Blade was not dead. I think it hit Han Solo first. The golden
statuette that we found on the high mountain of Rockcore Isle! Then Vox
said his time was growning short and that he had to go or be destroyed.
I promised we would look for him. Before he dissappeared he did ask a
question that held such logic that I could not refute. "What better way
to learn about the past, than when you can be in the past, and talking to
people."

After he left we went to Paragon and asked for the flying ship. We said
that we would be leaving as soon as possible. When he asked what in the
Nine Hells was going on, I told him of everything about the time
elemental in the library. How we lost our armbands....He looked at me as
if I were insain and sent me out. As he talked to the other Blades, I
fretted on how bad it looked to confess such a bizarre story to the Lord
of Waterdeep. When I came back in, the two new dwarves became Blades. I
only let them after much debated and assurances from Han Solo that he
would vouch for them. The new drow I put on a trial basis. If he proved
himself worthy, he would become a Blade. I can just see the latest
addition to the Waterdeep Daily News if that happens.....THREE DROW IN
THE BLADES!!!! THE UNDERDARK IS TAKING OUR CITY!!!!!! We left Paragons
presence and I forgot to ask about weapons and such. I inquired it of
the rest of the group and they said that we had to go back to Cold
Comfort. It wasn't what I wanted to hear. Resigned, we went to Cold
Comfort.

There was a small problem with this though.....The time elemental changed
it to pre-Blade Cold Comfort. To make a long story short....We separated
and some of us got caught. Han Solo, posing as a bounty-hunter, escorted
those of us who were captured with the human who owned Cold Comfort at
the time, until the boundry line for that time frame ran out. The
Past-Owner of Cold Comfort disappered. I was wise in making that one
second in command. When we got to the end of the time zone, the
past-owner dissappeared.

Solo, and the others went to get the ship ready. Vorn, Talia, and I went
back to Cold Comfort to get some much needed equipment. You could
imagine my relief when Darren greeted us at the door of Cold Comfort. He
mentioned that Bartholomew had wanted to see me. Perhaps it was a
selfish impulse, but I found myself heading to his room. And I saw
him...just for an instant. Then he was gone. Not a word, not a trace,
and Darren was really confused when I asked of him. I feel so
desperate....he...he never hurt anyone.
