My Life in Davis

My life in Davis is unexciting, but I like living here more than in Japan. I have more free time and I am liberated here. Let me compare my daily routine here and back home. Two Wednesdays ago, I got up at 7 and took a shower. I studied until it was time to leave for school. My first class starts at 10 o'clock; I have two classes before lunch and another in the afternoon. After class I went home and cooked Japanese curry with a friend. From 8 to 11, I studied. I went to bed at 11:30. Now let me tell you about one day in my life six months ago. I was very busy in Japan, because I went to classes and also held a part-time job. I got up at 8. I worked at the Board of Education from 9 to 12. After work, from 3 to 4:30, I had a class. I went back home at 6:30. The train ride from my home to my college took two hours: four hours a day! As soon as I got home, I ate dinner, which had already been prepared by my mother. I realize now how considerate my parents are. I really appreciate them.
