JACK’S THEOREM AND THE PRIMAL THOUGHT

There are 5 Characters used in the final performance.

Dr. Jack the math person, actually representing Civilized man. After being healed he represents Primal Man.

Primal She is Dr. Jack’s assistant but is also the primal female of the species and represents all females of the species. She is also the mother of the species. Primal She is given a large (phallic symbol) knife by Primal Good at about 13 minutes and cuts the back of Dr. Jack. This is important in that man must give his blood to primal mother before he can take the blood of the chicken.

Primal Good or Primal Purity represents the chaos or god formula that makes everything work (or not work in the eyes of humans sometimes)

The Temptress is the chicken girl. Although she isn’t seen very much in the video she is dressed as a cigarette girl and passes out flyers with dollar bills on them and gives chicken to the audience during most of the performance. She comes on stage at 10:29 and feeds Dr. Jack a piece of Chicken.

The character we may call the Avenger. After the chicken is killed. He comes out of the audience and shoots a kneeling Dr. Jack. This ends the performance even though the video goes a little farther. The origin of the avenger is left ambiguous. However, it is important that he was in the audience all the time and none of the audience members knew he was a part of the performance.

MAJOR PROPS USED IN THE PERFORMANCE

  1. The flyer with Jack’s Theorem and the Dollar bill on it.
  2. The child’s pool
  3. The Phallic cutting knife (had a razor attached so a radical cut would not be made)(however, the cut did have to be deep enough to draw blood)
  4. The Phallic chopping knife. A hatchet was considered and would have made a cleaner cut but it didn’t have the Phallic symbolism. This was the knife used to chop off the chicken’s head.
  5. Milk bath in the pool for Primal Good.
  6. Flash Paper is used to show Man controlling the fire. (the fire is an important symbol)
  7. The 200,000 volt Stun stick (same as a stun gun but in the shape of a stick and more powerful) The Symbolism here was the electricity. The 200,000 volt stun stick was interesting to use but not necessarily the only tool. Anything that shot electrical sparks. Man controlling the electricity was important.
  8. The shooting with a gun from the audience. The gun is a major civilized tool and becomes its own symbol.
  9. The live chicken was a symbol of life. All life. Even our own. And our mortality or for that fact the mortality of the species. The death of the chicken was necessary for "The ACT", The act of life (and death) as being the major important thing of existence. Also the chickens death was necessary in the abuse of the audience. Because after they took the dollar they became my economic slaves.
  10. The cooked (Kentucky Fried) Chicken was used as much as a symbol of deceit as anything. Being offered dead chicken that came from a live one deceived the audience. The killing of the live one brings this to their attention. It also was important in setting up the death of the live chicken.
  11. The dance of Primal She is a symbol of the dance of life.
