"Our family branches really did stay together in the early part of the 1900's. They were into farming and delivering their goods to the DC markets. Jacob's family farmed, but they were also into the train business and worked on the railroads. Even Jacob was listed in the newspaper as working on the railroads."

He was married to Elizabeth A. LEWIS about 1859. Elizabeth A. LEWIS was born on 4 May 1834 in Md.. She appeared on the census in 1900 in Howard County, Md.. She died on 3 Aug 1911 in Howard County, Md.. She was buried in Emmanuel Methodist, Scaggsville, Md.. Per David Souder:
The Lewis family lived in very close proximity to the Souder family in 1850 in Howard County, Md. They were a farm family". Jacob B. SOUDER and Elizabeth A. LEWIS had the following children:
