Jones, and has not been proven. This family first appears in Edmonson Co
KY. From several letters that Kathy received, it appears that this
family was split as a result of the Civil War when two brothers fought
for the North. The brothers named were John W., Samuel, Isaac and Jacob.
Isaac and Jacob supposedly fought for the North, and the other two
brothers disowned them. Samuel died in Ohio Co, KY. John W, who was
living in TX, died in 1888/1889 in Ohio Co, KY, while visiting his brother
Samuel. They never heard from the other two brothers.
As this is not Kathy Jones' line, she may not be able to provide any more
answers.
