THIRD GENERATION

15. Harry May SOUDERS was born on 2 May 1896 in Mt. Moriah, Harrison Co., Mo.. ⁽⁷⁾ He was born on 2 May 1896 in Cowgill, Missouri according to mom's birth certificate. He died on 5 May 1948 in Chillicothe, Livingston County, Missouri. He was buried UNKNOWN in Rosehill Cemetery. Harry is a mystery to me. I am finding out about him a litle bit at a time. He died before I knew him. He worked hard to support his family, never having quite enough. They lived in a lot of homes and he worked in a quite lot of places, wherever he could find work, on a ranch or in a mine. They moved where the work was. One of the mines he worked in broke up rocks for the road building near Cameron. Grandpa Harry was an auto mechanic too, and a very good one. He owned his own garage and had a body and fender shop. Do you suppose his middle name was May because he was born in May? Interesting that he also died in May.

He was married to Iva Mae CASHATT on 10 Jan 1919 in Breckenridge, Caldwell County, Missouri. Iva Mae CASHATT was born on 11 Jun 1904 in Gallatin, Daviess Co., Mo. She died on 16 Feb 1980 in Chillicothe, Livingston County, Missouri. She was buried UNKNOWN in Rosehill Cemetery. Grandma Souders was a lively, spirited lady and I wish I had known her. Harry May SOUDERS and Iva Mae CASHATT had the following children:
