                                | "Crossing that bridge with
                                lessons I've learned
Playing with fire and not getting
                                burned
I may not know what you're goin
                                through
But time is the space between me
                                and you
Cause life carries on.... it goes
                                on..."

 | Jim
Babcock was a very special person.
(Everyone should know a wizard, at least
once in their lifetime!) Jim saw the
world through magic lenses, and his
vision - like fairy dust - rubbed off on
everyone he met. A wizard will put
everything into perspective for you, if
you let him. A wizard can walk into your
life and snap his (or her) fingers under
your nose, and poof - suddenly
the fog lifts from in front of your eyes,
and you are truly, deliciously alive
                        again. Thank God for
wizards - if not for them, we would all
                        probably be sleepwalking fitfully through
our daily existance without any idea of
why we are here, or even that it matters
                        to know.. "Pay
Attention!" Jim wrote in the front
cover of his first book, when we asked if
he would sign it for us. These words have
come to mean more every day, as their
simplicity and depth unfold within our
                        lives. His death has
reminded us how precious life is. His
legacy to us has been a renewed awakeness
and awareness of our world, our friends,
our love, and the delicate web of life,
in which we are all strands.
