Folzenlogel/Sibler
Family History Gathering
Knue Farm, Milan, Indiana
Sunday, July 12, 1998
Bill Knue and Joe Folzenlogen came up with the idea of inviting
some
descendants who were really interested in family history to come
together to swap memories, stories, and pictures. It turned
out there were
a lot more interested people than they thought. Over 70 people
converged
on Bill's farm near Milan, Indiana. Bill had to set up this
tent to give shade.
The people under the tent gathered in various groupings to look
at
pictures, swap stories, and just get acquainted. The trio
in the
foreground is my cousin Jim Young on the right, his wife Janet
in the
middle, and my 90-year-old aunt Dorothy Folzenlogen Butler on the
left.
Joseph Folzenlogel and his wife Magdalena Sibler had 11 children.
One
died as a child, one never married. At least one descendant
from the families
of the 9 married chidren was present for this gathering.
The descendants of Joseph Folzenlogen and Mary Thinnes who attended
were: Janet, wife of Jim Young,
Dorothy Folzenlogen Butler (90 years old!), Fr. Joe Folzenlogen,
S.J., Sharon, wife of Mark Folzenlogen, Joan, wife
of Bill Folzenlogen, Mary Lou, wife of Bob Folzenlogen Jr., Elizabeth Lynn Micheli, Bob Folzenlogen Jr., Sharon McAdams,
Jane Feree, Bill Feree, Patty Kohls, Ruth Young, Sue Bruggen, John
Bruggen, Jim Young, and the two young ladies in front, Emily and Samantha McAdams.
