The Stewart Motorsports Sprint Car Racing Team tackled two points races at two tracks this weekend. On Friday night, LimaLand Motorsports Park was the site for the ASCS Sprint Challengers Points Race. JR placed 4th in his heat race, which transferred him to the A-main, starting 15th. Among several wrecks, JR managed to take the #37 sprinter to an 8th place finish. Tim Allison won the feature.
On Saturday, the Team traveled to the high banked, and oh so fast dirt of Eldora Speedway. Eldora was the host of four different classes of racing, including two sprint car classes, the All-Stars and ASCS Sprint Challengers. In the third heat race for the 360 sprints, JR came in 4th. The top 4 from each heat race get tot redraw for their position in the A-main. JR finished the feature in 8th place, another top ten finish for the Bellefontaine Bandit. Phil Gressman won the feature race. JR is currently 8th in points among 29 cars in his series.
The Stewart Motorsports Sprint Car Racing Team will be traveling to Tennessee this next weekend for a big 4th of July, 2-night racing event. Friday night will be at Crossville Speedway in Knoxville, TN. Saturday night's race will be held at Atomic Speedway also in Knoxville.
