Racing Weekend of May 7, 1999

The Stewart Motorsports Racing Team traveled to LimaLand Motorsports Park on Friday, May 7, and to Rossburg's Eldora Speedway on Saturday, May 8. Both races were National Racing Alliance (NRA) sanctioned events.

On Friday night, in the second heat, JR's 3rd place finish transfered him directly into the A-main. The 25 lap feature went caution free, in which JR was able to fight his way to a 15th place finish.

At Eldora Speedway, on Saturday night, the Stewart Racing Team celebrated their first heat race win of 1999. Starting 14th in the 25 lap feature, and stopped once by a caution on lap 8, JR took the Stewart Motorsports sprint car to an impressive 11th place finish.
