Game Highlights

Hot and Humid

On a hot and humid day in the Twin Cities, KCRFC barely showed up to play. City did start the scoring off with a try from Winger Chip Becker, conversion missed. Although the ball skills were not there the tackling was as City kept dening a scrappy Metropolis out of the try zone. After 25 minutes Metro broke through the defense, scored and converted taking the lead 7-5. After knocking on some potential tries KCRFC broke through just before half when center Mark Dunning capped off some nice support play and Davies converted. KCRFC 12-7 at the half.

The second half was a good defensive stand for KCRFC not allowing a try by Metropolis while flyhalf Tim Davies and center Mark Dunning scoring a try a piece both conversions were missed. A lot of knock ons kept this game from getting out of hand. A bright spot was the emergence of first time scrumhalf Brian Cichello who was awarded the Skill of the day by Welsh Assembly.
