*grin*
my crazy friend and i took work off, well she called in sick, to ride a
bus 3.5 hrs to new york city (but first i had to drive 1 hr to
baltimore =) ) to see liz at sessions. let me tell you how cool it
was..........totally worth the trip. i see laura already mentioned it a
bit and i'm wondering if you were standing behind us in line laura??!! just
a thought b/c the girl behind us was by herself.......did you sit behind
the keyboardist?? anyhow.........my friend and i were maybe about the 30th
people in line. we got sat in the first row behind the keyboardist. had
to wait awhile...........during this period i made fun of a man in a
camouflage outfit, which i found out two minutes later was david byrne who
hosted the session. i felt silly. anyhow........liz came out with the
band.......she looked beautiful as always with green leather pants on and a
mustard colored suede shirt and high heeled shoes which she kick off at the
end to dance........although i definitely enjoyed the intimate setting i
was really wanting to get up out of my seat and dance........liz asked the
audience where they had gotten the tics and someone said email.........and
she said "oh, thats where i'm behind." she also told a story about being at
the grammys and one about seeing a ghost in a national park when she was
hiking and stoned "when i used to smoke" she said.......... anyhow, here's
what she played (straight from the set list i lifted!!):
mezmerizing
johnny feelgood

my journey...........thanks for listening.
