MATTHEW BENNETT (Thomas Andrews) has performed on B'way in Blood Brothers, and in the original Off-B'way productions of Radio Gals, Floyd Collins, Marathon Dancing, Honkytonk Highway, Hysterical Blindness, The Wonderful "O", and five roles in The Fantasticks. As well as countless regional and touring credits, Mr. Bennett can be heard on numerous recordings and has played roles on "All My Children" and on AMC's "Remember WENN." He is the co-author of Ten Years Apart, a new play with music.

Other Tidbits:

Before taking TA, Matthew understudied Thomas Andrews and J. Bruce Ismay. He went on for both.

Matthew's Blood Brothers headshot. Matthew was a swing on the show, also understudying both Mickey and Eddie. This info is taken from March 1995 (Helen Reddy) Playbill for Blood Brothers.

Matthew is married to actress Dorrie Joiner and has a son, Jansen Carl Bennett.

Among the five roles in The Fantasticks, Matthew played the Mute and the Boy.

Matthew's collaborator on Ten Years Apart is fellow officer, Sean McCourt. They both appear together with Erin Hill on the CD Honky Tonk Highway.

Matthew starred as O.B. Abbott, who plays accordian, trombone, and ukele and sings on these songs: "A Fireside, A Pipe, And A Pet", "Edna Jones, The Elephant Girl", "Why Did You Make Me Love You", and "Kittens In The Snow". Abbott is a federal agent sent to investigate a bunch of radio wave jumping gals broadcasting illegally. Naturally, he falls in love with one of them. Matthew was understudied in the show by....TADA! Sean McCourt (who also understudied Miss Azilee!).

Matthew and Sean McCourt wrote and sang "When Christina Plays" to Christina Ann Rodriguez (pictured at left). He is joined by Titanic cast members Michael Cerveris and Jennifer Piech (pictured), all for Songs Of Love, a program that benefits seriously ill children.
