Floyd Collins is based on real events which took place in and around Sand Cave, Kentucky in 1925. Although we worked to preserve historical accuracy, it was necessary in some cases to take dramatic liberty and combine
characters or compress events. We hope that, in the process of translating historical fact into drama, we have respected the integrity of the persons involved and the overall shape of these amazing, true events.
