DREW McVETY (Swing). B'way: The Heidi Chronicles, The Substance of Fire. Off-B'way and other NY: Playwrights Horizons, The Atlantic Theatre, Circle Rep., Workhouse, The Public, and others. Regional and Tours: Acting Company, Longwharf, Pittsburgh Public, Portland Stage Company, and others.

Other Tidbits:

So, reviews for Corpus Christi were pretty universally bad--not so Drew in New York Magazine (Oct. 26, 1998). John Simon in his review says, "David Van Tieghem and Drew McVety have provided vivid sound and delicate music (mostly for solo violin and guitar)..." and "McVety not only makes nice music, but also enacts an amusingly easy going Matthew".

Drew as actor--he played various ensemble roles in Heidi Chronicles both on and off B'way. His characters were Chris Boxer, Mark, TV Attendant, Waiter, and Ray.

Why, yes, Drew does play an instrument--that's him playing violin with Ted Sperling on Gypsy of the Year. He also helped with the arrangements for the Gypsy skit. Drew has written concertos and even played in a rock chamber orchestra called Garage Ensemble.

No, that's not Drew McVety, but Drew McVety imitator, Liev Schreiber--most recently of The Daytrippers, Scream 2, Sphere, and the Public Theatre's Alec Baldwin MacBeth (playing Banquo). The Liev Schreiber Website can give you more information on him (and Drew look alike pictures).
