The Tour Takes Detroit Through September 26!
The Tour Takes Grand Rapids Through October 3!
The First Regional Production of Titanic! The Gateway Playhouse (Gateway Playhouse) on Long Island will present Titanic through Oct. 2 with OBC's Joseph Kolinski (Captain Smith, a role he played many times on Broadway) plus Jonathan Hadley (Andrews), Bernie Sheredy (Ismay), Danielle Langlois (Kate McGowan), Alan Souza (Bride) and Ron Sharpe (Barrett).
In Memoriam RMS: The Deck Plans is featuring a section of Titanic Memories at Memoriam/index. If you are interested in posting some of your thoughts on what Titanic (the show, the cast, the crew, whatever!) has meant to you, please e-mail me at Lowe Coffee. We will take submissions till whenever.
In Every Age: Join the Mailing List! Why--because it's fun to talk Titanic and it's nice to do it in a private place--aka YOUR mail box. So join today. We'll chat! (As of now, there are 66 members).
Make Contact: With John Bolton, understudying the lead role played by Boyd Gaines, as well as some other little roles. Contact is currently playing at the Mitzi Newhouse Theatre at Lincoln Center. John is ONLY an understudy--check the board to see if he's on!
Look, he's Arnaud du Thiel!: Stephen Buntrock has begun his tour of the country (and return to Broadway) as the lead in Boublil-Schonenberg's Martin Guerre. The show is expected on B'way in April, 2000 after stops in Los Angels, Washington, DC, and its opening in Minneapolis, MN.
Neither Jekyll Nor Hyde: Bertilla Baker is appearing as Lady Beckonsfield on the current tour of Jekyll & Hyde.
Bowfinger: Adam Alexi-Malle has a featured role in Steve Martin's new movie, Bowfinger, as the writer of the action flick, "Chubby Rain."
Go to the Cabaret (Tour), Old Chum!: Drew McVety will be joining the Cabaret tour as Ernst, replacing Andy Taylor. (Interestingly, McVety also took Taylor's role, Boxhall/Rogers, on B'way for the end of Titanic's run). Also rumored to be joining the tour is Alma Cuervo.
Barn-Stormer: Those in Michigan can catch former Widener, Scott Burkell at the Barn Theatre this summer--his final role will be as Riff Raff in Rocky Horror. Other roles he played this summer included Lancelot (Camelot) and Anatoly (Chess). Check out the Barn Theatre Website for some frightening and intriguing pics of Scott!
Wilkommen Vicky Clark: Victoria Clark has joined the cast of Broadway's Cabaret at Studio 54 as Fraulien Kost.
Who Am I? Who Am I?: Certainly NOT Charles Lightoller! Ivan Rutherford who departed on Dec. 20, will be taking the role of Jean Valjean in the current tour of Les Miserablesbeginning in Atlanta, GA. Ivan has played the role on tour and on Broadway.
Hedwig To LA: Michael Cerveris should be moving with Hedwig and the Angry Inch to Los Angeles. Hedwig in NYC with Lisa Datz is playing at the Jane Street Theatre Off-Broadway. Michael first played Hedwig immediately post-Titanic for one month before going on tour with the Bob Mould Band (incidentally, Bob Mould is a HUGE Hedwig fan--who knew?).
Four in the Morning: "Stick Figure Dancing", a CD of Sean McCourt music, including a cut from Ten Years Apart called "Willis". Titanic cast members Matthew Bennett, Theresa McCarthy and Clarke Thorell are featured on the CD. To take a look, Click Here!
If Obsession is a sin...: Maybe you're guilty! Put together for the Deck Plans' amusement and with help from the In Every Age Mailing List, the Deck Plans presents Are You Too Obsessed With Titanic?--The Quiz. Take it and find out! The quiz was last updated 1/28.
