BAKER, OSMOND CLEANDER, clergyman, was born July
30, 1812, in Marlow, N.H. He was a professor in the General
Biblical institute of Concord, N.H., and in 1847 was president
of the same; bishop of the methodist episcopal church in 1852-
71, and wrote A Guide Book in the Administration of Discipline
of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died Dec. 20, 1871,
in Concord, N.H.
