Roland has been taken in by the residents of Littleton! They feed him, play with him and teach him manners. The residents are hoping that one day a man will come and ask if Roland can go on a really special mission. (yes the man wears a red suit) Roland was adopted so he could be loved by the citizens. He is a very playful deer and seems to be really happy to be here with us. Ronald throws him a ball and Roland will play so gently with my Little Ronald, it's as if he knows that Ronald is a small child.

Reggie is my shy little mouse and he loves to come to see Roland and sometimes will feed him oats. Roland nudges Reggie and Reggie will giggle and giggle. It really looks like Roland is laughing too, when Reggie comes to visit with him. His white tail will wag and he will prance around as if he is sooo happy to see Reggie. hehehhe

Rhonda is my little girl mouse. She was really happy when we adopted Roland. She was the first one to come and visit him in his new home. She likes to jump rope and so she thought it would be a good idea to teach Roland how to jump, because he could bound then and that would be good thing to know if Roland was chosen for the special mission. So, each day Rhonda comes to visit Roland she jumps rope and Roland will jump on his brand new trampoline. hehhehehehe

One day Roland brought home a game, because there really are Reindeer Games. Did you all know that?? All of the Reindeer have to know HOW to play the Reindeer Game. Well, Ronald

thought that was the funniest thing he ever saw. He laughed and laughed when he saw the Reindeer Game and continued to play with Roland. But, Roland, really wanted to learn the Reindeer Game so he would know how to play it with all the other Reindeer. Reggie came to play with Roland and Roland walked over to his Reindeer game and walked back to Reggie and nudged him to come and play the Reindeer Game. Reggie walked over to the Reindeer game with Roland. He looked at the Game and then he started to laugh and laugh. hehehehehe

Well finally Rhonda came over! Reggie and Ronald were still giggling at the Reindeer Game. She was jumping rope over by the trampoline and didn't know why Roland wasn't jumping with her. She walked over to Roland and he nudged her towards the Reindeer Game. Well guess what?? Rhonda didn't laugh at all! She helped Roland learn the Reindeer Game, so he could play with all the other Reindeer, if he was chosen to go on the special mission, he wouldn't feel left out now.

Well now Roland is learning a lot of things. He is learning to bound, he is learning to catch that ball that Ronald plays with. And he is learning to be gentle and kind. He is a very special Reindeer. Rhonda continues to play the Reindeer Game with him and he is REALLY good at it now. Ronald and Reggie aren't laughing at the Reindeer Game anymore either, because they now know that it isn't very nice to laugh at reindeers! Roland now plays the Reindeer Game with all the children in Littleton. Of course he wins all the time, which is good!

Roland has been getting lots of attention and presents from the residents. They all love their Reindeer friend. One of the residents thought it would be nice if Roland saw a real Christmas Hat. Then he would know how to recognize the man in the red suit. The Christmas hat hangs in his stable. One day a resident brought by some bells, he thought Roland should know the sound of the bells. The resident made the sound of the bells on a harness for Roland. Roland really liked the sound of the bells and sometimes wore it when he played the Reindeer Game. Another resident brought Roland this snow globe, so that he would know who the Boss was. hehehehehe One morning someone left this miniature sleigh with a note that said, "Someday this will be you Roland."
