The process that follows illustrates this project, from conception to completion.

I begin by taking photographs of the site, and transferring ideas from initial sketches onto the photos, giving the client the opportunity to see the art in the space. I then provide color samples to the client. Following any adjustments we may make, I can begin work. I made this relief in pieces in my studio, and with the help of my crew, assembled and installed it on site.

Two Wall Relief for Shiva Corporation

The executives at Shiva Corporation in Bedford, MA wanted a large work for their corporate headquarters that would accentuate the clean lines of the new building, add color and warmth to the site and relate to their business of telecommunication. I chose to work with diverse materials such as aluminum, Plexiglas and wood in distinct shapes that are tied together by a series of rhythmic lines, to create a sense of limitless space. Forms float above and seem to sink at angles into the surface of the wall. The black lines between point out the intervals, accentuate the openings and connect each part to the whole. Soft color and rich surfaces compliment the shapes.
