Miss Swan's Swans Crossing Home Page || Facts

-- Swans Crossing was apparently a popular enough tv show to have dolls modeled after the characters and even playsets! The Swans Crossing toy line was created by Playmates toys back in 1992. The dolls had names like "Slumber Party Mila", "Hangin' Out Sydney", and "Dance Party Garrett". There was even a mini-bike for Callie, a bed for Mila, and a concert stage playset for Sandy and Owen! The dolls sold for around five dollars each. Unfortunately, the Swans Crossing toy line was discontinued, so I doubt any stores are selling the dolls or playsets anymore.  However, you can still purchase a few of the dolls over the Internet at this site: http://www.thegrid.net/bear/misctoy.htm

Mira Sorvino -- In addition to an Emmy-winner, Swans Crossing also starred an Oscar-winner! Mira Sorvino (pictured), best supporting actress in 1995 for the film Mighty Aphrodite, played a recurring character on Swans Crossing. Sorvino had the role of Sophia (Eva McCormick) DeCastro, Saja's sultry and manipulative older sister who had her eye on Jimmy. Sophia appears in many of the earlier episodes.

-- The cable network USA bought episodes of Swans Crossing in 1993 and aired them every Sunday morning at 5:30 (why is Swans always on at the strangest hours?) from September 19, 1993 to September 11, 1994. USA probably still has permission to air those episodes, so maybe they'll decide to air them again sometime soon (hopefully at a better time!) I'll keep you posted!

-- Swans Crossing has made its way into the UK! It was mentioned that Swans Crossing aired on Sky TV, but I know for sure that it has been airing every weekday on an English network called TCC24Seven/Trouble (maybe those two networks are the same thing - I don't live in the UK, so I have no idea) since 1994.  Anyway, TCC24Seven/Trouble has a website, and they even used to have a page on Swans Crossing (although they spelled it "Swan's Crossing").  Hopefully, Swans Crossing will become a very popular tv series in the UK and have more success over there than it did in the US!

-- According to Stacey Moseley (Callie), Swans Crossing aired in Portugal for a short time. The show is currently being aired in the Philippines and on The Children's Channel in Norway.
