A link can be a picture
like the chain on the last page. But a link can also be a word or phrase.

Watch the shape of the mouse pointer
as you point to different parts of the screen. When you point at blank space, the pointer appears shaped like an arrow. When you point at plain text, the mouse pointer is shaped like the letter I.

When the pointer changes to a hand
you have found a link. At the bottom of this page are two links to the next page. Move the pointer over both links and notice the pointer changing to a hand.
