[Ellen and Matt watch as the movers empty Ellen's apartment.] Ellen: That's the last piece of furniture to go. Matt: Leaving only you? Ellen: We agreed last night that we would make this easy on us both. Matt: Well, last night I could pretend that this moment would never come. [Ellen kneels in front of Matt.] Ellen: Me too. [They kiss. Matt takes Ellen's hand and begins kissing it.] Ellen: I guess we'd better stop. You'll be late for work. Matt: I don't want you to go. Ellen: Matt, this move is right for me. I have to take this opportunity. I'll call you when I get there. Matt: I'm never gonna forget what it felt like to breathe you in. Ellen: You know, last night was so unexpected. And so perfect. I never dreamed that I would feel that way again. I couldn't even admit that I wanted to. Matt: If you ever start to feel that way again, I just want you to close your eyes, and you remember what we felt like together, last night. Ellen: Matt, you have touched my heart. And you have gotten through a barrier I thought no one ever could. Matt: I always want to know where you are. [They kiss again, desperately. Finally Matt takes her hand, kisses it, and wheels away, stroking her cheek as he goes past her. He opens the door, then turns, and blows her a kiss. Ellen watches as he wheels out and shuts the door, leaving her alone in the empty apartment.] (Submitted by Donna and Rena) |
