Ingredients
- 1/2 lb White Cheese (or Feta cheese, if you like Feta)
- 3 TBS Parsely, minced
- 1 TBS Butter
- 1 Egg yolk
- 3 TBS Mushrooms, chopped finely
- 3 TBS Onion, minced
- (1/2 tsp Lemon juice, only if you use Feta cheese)
- 1/4 tsp Pepper (black or seasoned)
Directions
- Saute the mushrooms in butter for 4-5 minutes, then set them aside
to cool
- Mix parsley, cheese, and egg yolk together; add the mushrooms.
- Packaged egg roll wrappers are rectangular; cut them into triangular
shapes as illustrated here. Place cheese mix onto the wide end of
the triange and roll the wrapper. Seal the edges with egg yolk.
- Place the borek one inch apart on a greased baking sheet.
- Glaze the borek with a beaten egg and bake at 350 degrees until
the borek are golden brown (about 30 minutes).
