Bobbie's Lemon Dessert
Rick and Pam got this recipe from Bobbie Patience, one of our dearest
friends in the world. This lemon dessert is easy to make and tastes especially
good after meals which contain heavy flavors. Definitely a palate sweetener.
Crust
- 1 1/4 C Flour
- 1/4 C Ground walnuts
- 1/2C Butter (softened)
- Mix ingredients well with pastry cutter or fork until the mix is crumbly.
Press evenly into a 9"X13" pan.
- Pierce the crust with a fork before baking to prevent bubbling. Bake at
350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
1st Layer
- 8 Oz Cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2C Powdered sugar
- Cream together the ingredients until well blended and add 1/2 of a large
container of Cool Whip. Beat till well blended and spread the mix onto the
crust.
2nd Layer
- 2 Packages instant lemon pudding
- 3C Milk
- Beat until thickened and spread the mix on top of the 1st layer.
3rd Layer
- Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the pudding and sprinkle with ground
walnuts.
- Cover and chill the dessert; keep it refrigerated.
