More of the Harris car

he Harris car had many faces, and many names. Some grand and others... well, less than savory.
It won many races while we toured. Some at Big H (Houston Speedway), Battleground, Beaumont, Dallas Devil's Bowl, Arkansas, and a host of others, including it's home track, 105 Speedway, Cleveland, TX.

n 1997, Fran earned the title of Track champion there. The car was outfitted for the occasion. (Can't have the champ running around in a ratty-looking car, now) Again, notice the back panels. They are trimmed back quite a bit more than the new Dirtworks car's are. We kid him about that alot, but I do notice that the panels on the new one aren't as long as they were the first day we had it. (I guess so he can pull it into the trailer...ha,ha...And as nice as he is to me, I'll do this to him.)

e actually took the Harris car to Dallas looking like this. I have no idea why. I guess we'll have to load her up and take her everywhere now that she's not racing anymore. It's pretty obvious that we can't afford to dress her anymore.
Actually we took it with us in case the new Dirtworks didn't work. The Harris is a reliable run, and we know it inside and out.
