mustangfootball.com is a site dedicated to the University of Western Ontario football Mustangs. It is run by a fan especially for fans. This site intends to provide as much information about the Western Mustangs as possible. Our game reports will attempt to call them like we see them. You'll get the story of what went good and what when bad, who played well and who played poorly. Our commentary will provide opinion on a wide variety of topics ranging from specific team issues to general OUA and CIAU issues to Canadian football in general. Occasionally we'll pull out our camera and take a few pictures that will be posted here.
As fans, we don't have a lot of the inside knowledge of the team that some other sites may have. But since we don't have any relationships to maintain, such as with the media or other team "insiders" this site offers an unbiased view of happenings both on and off the field.About Your Webmaster - The webmaster of this site is a longtime Mustangs fan. The 1999 season is his 19th consecutive as a season ticket holder. The webmaster has never attended Western as a student and has no particular affiliation or loyalty to the school as such (although it is a good school.) The webmaster's love of Mustang football stems from his upbringing in London; if you want to see live sports you watch Mustang football, junior hockey or intercounty league baseball. No longer living in London, the webmaster commutes over 2 1/2 hours to get to Mustang home games. From his house south of Barrie, road games (Windsor excepted of course) are closer than home games.
