The win improved Haylor's record to 120-21-4 over 14 plus seasons. Metras' record was
119-80-11 from 1940 to 1969. Haylor's record puts him fifth on the list of all-time CIAU coaches behind Dave "Tuffy" Knight (163), Bruce Coulter (137), Done Loney (133), and Doug Hargreaves (128).
Haylor was quoted in the London Free Press as saying, "If you could pick a game to do it, this would be the one. To do it at homecoming in front of a big crowd against a team that has a lot of ability is pretty special."
