It has been over four long years since Savant has recorded a CD. And finally,…it has arrived. The new CD entitled “Alone” will be available by Mid-May. “Alone” has ten hard-hitting tunes. Some fast, some slow, all heavy. Each song is full of emotion, a staple in savants’ music. Every song has some personal meaning to a band member and you can feel it through the music.
Chris Nixon adds his musical talents to the band since the departure of Jay Bibber. Nixon’s diverse back round only added to the intenseness of each song. With Chris’s drumming and Rich Leitch’s bass playing, a solid foundation is formed. Add to that the Guitars styles of Bruce Miller and Pete Crecco and you have a wall of music that is strong, unbreakable.
And once again savant has recorded a diverse range of songs. Not all are fast bone jarring rhythms. Included on this CD are two incredible ballads, “Going Home” and “Tuesday Mourning”. The title track “Alone” can touch the core of anyone’s soul. It seems the four years since the last recording was a dark journey for the members of the band and it reflects in the new songs. No fan of Savant will be disappointed by “Alone”
"Alone” was recorded and mixed at Big Blue Meenie studios in Jersey City, NJ. From March 2nd until April 6th.
The album is being engineered by Erin Farley and is being produced by Tim Gillis, Erin Farley and Savant.
