Notes for Sidney Reese LEISTER

Sidney Reese Lister. Sidney is the only child of Moses Lister and Fanny
Brown about whom additional information is known. According to the Paoli
materials, he was born on February 10, 1818 in Georgia, near the Alabama
line. He married Susan Abney on July 20, 1843, in Sumter County,
Alabama. They moved to Meridan, Louisiana in 1846, then to San Jacinto
County, Texas. He bought the "Old Lister Place" near Chita, Texas, in
1862. He died on November 12, 1892, in Trinity, Texas. Susan died
November 15, 1907 at Livingston, Texas.
