THE SOUL OF THE BEACH
As you walk down the beach
Get lost in it's beauty.
The silky shimmering sand
The dune grass waving in all it's glory.
The stones of the centuries
Unearthed by the tides,
The sea shells abundant,
Some cracked and some whole,
Telling their story of life now past.
The sunlight announcing
A beautiful day,
As it sparkles and shines
On the sea and it's prizes.
In evening the moonlight
Beckons the lovers,
A kiss at the jetty means
More than the others.
The driftwood tells tales
Of the might of the sea,
The waves when they've stolen
The trees from the land,
Then churned by the forces
Held deep in the sea,
A gift from the sea
From the soul of the beach.
The soul of the beach
Begs you to search.
Examine it's beauty,
Enjoy it's gifts.
Take home a treasure,
Remember the beach.
The beauty of nature
abounds at the beach.
The soul of the beach
Is waiting to share.

LISTEN TO THE WAVES
Listen hear the starlings,
Look, the eagle soars.
Watch the ocean waves,
Listen, hear them roar.
Pounding, dancing, leaping,
Cresting, sometimes weeping.
Watch the ocean waves,
Listen, hear them roar.
Dancing ballerinas,
Waves so lithe and light.
Swaying, dipping, gleaming,
Listen, hear them roar.
Catching beads of sunlight,
Stretching high to reach,
Grasping beads of sunshine,
Listen, hear them roar.
Watch the sea gulls circling,
Dipping, sailing, waiting,
For the waves to feed them,
Listen, hear them roar.
Waves of every specter,
Sighing, spitting, spilling,
Watch the ocean waves,
Listen, hear them roar.
Listen, hear the starlings
Singing to the waves,
Asking them to answer,
Listen, hear them roar.

EDGES
Walk deep in the sand
At the water's edge.
Let your toes feel the cool
From the tide coming in.
Walk deep in the sand
Near the dune grass edge.
Let your toes feel the warmth
Let the sunshine sink in.
Walk deep in the sand
Near the jetty rocks.
Let your soul feel the pull
Of the ocean so strong.
Walk deep in the sand
Feel the undertow.
Surrender your soul
To the current so strong.
