The Early 80's

Eventually I got my electric guitar. I had an uncle on my mother's side who owned a music store in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Constantino's Music. Anyway, my mother took me there. She wouldn't get me a Gibson, but she got me a Guild Starfire 5. Then I met Dave Meade, who was a bass player, and he turned me on to Chuck Berry on Top, turned me on to Having a Rave Up with the Yardbirds, turned me on to John Mayalls' Bluesbreakers album. I was off and running and never once looked back. - Walk This Way, page 62.
